Taking on a challenge of a size and magnitude as rainforest conservation requires a wholistic and scientific approach. The Rainforest Conservation Convergence (RCC) strategy underscores the need for creative interplay of treebanking, ecology-friendly business enterprises and experiential people's education in order to succeed in genuine rainforest conservation.

Using part of the proceeds from our Protect-A-Hectare Program and other ecology-friendly business undertakings, our Foundation is committed to providing the annual funding requirements of rainforest conservation in the Zambales Rainforest. The Foundation combines the best aspects, principles and practices of a non-for-profit foundation and eco-conscious mission of an environmental NGO with a socially-responsible, for profit-company.

After more than eleven years of experience in humanitarian and sustainable development work, the Foundation has developed this Rainforest Conservation Convergence (RCC) ---with invaluable lessons and successes.

Key Objectives of Eco-Life Foundation:

1. To promote people's awareness on the need for rainforest conservation.
2. To develop and operate sustainable eco-business enterprises around renewable rainforest resources.
3. To offer incentive program that reward people for their participation in sustainable rainforest initiatives.
4. To assist with micro-enterprise lending to rainforest stakeholders.
5. To finance and extend the conservation of land through sponsorship.
6. To engage in the conceptualization and development of 'clean development mechanisms' and become a supplier of carbon credits that will finance viable reforestation and renewable energy projects.

On-going Activities of Eco-Life Foundation

1. Creating a partnership with Department of environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and Department of Agriculture (DA) on the commercial plantation establishment of biofuel plants such as jathropa curcas in the Zambales Rainforest.
2. Partnership with Department of energy (DOE) and Philippine Cocounut authority (PCA) on the establishment of cooperative-based bio-diesel refinery across the country.
3. Partnership with a large NGO in Quezon province that will organize 20 coconut growers' cooperatives into a network of suppliers of crude oil for coco-biodiesel project.
4. Establishment of a Zambales Rainforest eco-tourism program with a network of providers, sellers and buyers. Finalization of agreement with ABS-CBN Foundation on La Mesa Forest Trekking tours.
