Eco-Education
PROTECT THE RAINFOREST THROUGH A KNOWLEDGE-BASED DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE
Embarking on a knowledge-based rainforest conservation, the Foundation engages in experiential eco-education in 3 ways: a) ecology tours b) public seminars c) website publications.
The Foundation is now developing three (3) standard tour packages on Subic and Hundred Islands and Mt. Pinatubo. Negotiations are underway in forging a bilateral arrangement with leading travel agencies and tour operators based in Subic and Clark areas and Metro Manila.
Cognizant of the concentrated student population in Metro Manila, the Foundation is planning to sponsor several ecology tour packages in La Mesa Eco-Park, in collaboration with the ABS-CBN Foundation. The Foundation offers affordable rates to students and faculty for their accommodation with Eco-life lodge and training Centre just across the La Mesa Eco-Park.
The Foundation, as a part of its eco-education, has been disseminating pamphlets and materials to the participants of the people @ work seminars conducted by its sister-company, Optimus Innovations, Inc. which has served more than 1,500 companies and 15,000 employers.
The Foundation also provides job opportunities and eco-tips to the My Trabaho.com, which has served more than 170 employers and 36,000 jobseekers – a public service program of Optimus Innovations, Inc.
